How does property management influence safety and crime in residential areas? In this webinar, we present findings from a study examining the role of place management in safety and security in multi-residential buildings. The study combines an analysis of crime concentration in apartment buildings in Stockholm with survey data from place managers and residents in Stockholm and Växjö. The results show that crime is highly concentrated in a small number of buildings and that both ownership structure and management practices influence how crime and safety problems develop at the micro level.
