Explosions in Sweden have drawn extensive media and research attention, yet far less is known about the environments where they occur. In this lunch webinar, Prof. Vania Ceccato and Alvar Almgren (KTH) present findings on the spatial and temporal patterns of explosions in the Stockholm region, as well as the physical and social factors shaping risk. Using GIS, field observations, and regression analysis, the study highlights concentration patterns, repeat incidents, and weakened guardianship in residential areas.
