Neighbourhoods For All – Webinar #1, Safer Cities Global Peer Review

In order to provide urban areas that are safe, accessible and inclusive for everyone, cities need to invest in smart proven prevention solutions that are co-created by the local inhabitants. In line with the 2030 Agenda and the New Urban Agenda (NUA), safety is a key determinant for people’s quality of life, particularly for young people and women, in both private and public spaces. As part of the implementation of the UN system wide Guidelines on Safer Cities and Human Settlements, UN-Habitat in collaboration with its partners UCLG, Habitat Norway, and VibeLab is promoting the sharing of knowledge and learning between cities, civil society and other actors from around the world, drawing on ongoing city safety policies and programmes. The intention is to contribute to the consolidation of knowledge of what has worked, advance mutual learning, as well as draw on innovations to promote the integrated solutions envisioned in the 2030 Agenda and the NUA.After an introductory event on 30th October 2023 (view the recording) please join us forWebinar #1On Tuesday 12th December 2023,from 1.00pm – 3.00pm CET.Please register here
